What is Attestation from the Qatar Embassy?
Attestation is a procedure to confirm the validity of the seal and signature on documents issued in the Qatar or abroad. It is a service provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in Qatar via its digital channels and by its embassies and consulates abroad.
Some requirements before submission:
- Original document in English or Arabic (or an official translation of it)
- Document must be attested by the appropriate governing bodies prior to submission. (We provide this within our services)
- Document must not be laminated
Document Types
Personal Documents
Before submitting your personal documents to the Embassy of the State of Qatar in London for legalisation by the Embassy; you must ensure that all documents issued in the UK have been stamped with the apostille of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
Personal documents that can be legalised include:

Educational Documents
Before submitting your educational documents to the Embassy of the State of Qatar in London for legalisation by the Embassy; you must ensure that all documents issued in the UK have been stamped with the apostille of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).
Educational documents that can be legalised include:
- Post-Graduate Degree
- Higher Education Degree
- College Certificates or Diploma
- Further Education including A-Level, BTECH, NVQ, HNC, HND, Level 1-3
- Secondary Education including GCSE
- Primary School Certificate – per child
All Higher Education and Further Education certificates submitted to the Embassy of the State of Qatar legalisation department must be supported by a covering letter and an academic transcript.
Commercial Documents
Commercial documents, certificate of origin invoices, packing list, certificate, and other commercial documents must be submitted through the relevant local chamber of commerce, who will then submit the documents to the Embassy of the State of Qatar Legalisation Department in London.
