Korean
Where is Korean spoken?
Korean is spoken primarily in South Korea and North Korea, where it is the official language of both countries. It is also spoken by Korean diaspora communities around the world, especially in places like the United States, China, Japan, and Russia.
In South Korea, the language is known as Hangugeo, and in North Korea, it’s called Chosŏnmal. While there are some dialectical differences between the two countries, they are largely mutually intelligible.
